Privacy Policy

At Glanceify, we take user privacy and data security very seriously. This Privacy Policy details how data is collected, processed, and protected when you use our platform.

1. Information We Collect

Glanceify only processes product URLs you submit for analysis, and your email address if you create an account. Payment data is processed via secure third-party processors and is never stored on our servers.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

Submitted URLs are used to collect available product evidence and research cited retailer, market, expert and community sources. Source availability and relevance vary by product.

Browser Extension

The Glanceify browser extension reads the URL of the active tab while its Side Panel is in use, checks the host locally against Glanceify's supported-retailer metadata, and sends the product URL securely to Glanceify only when you request an analysis. The extension does not read or transmit retailer passwords, cookies, form entries, private retailer account content, or your general browsing history.

The extension uses Firebase Authentication for your registered Glanceify account and stores only non-secret analysis identifiers and progress cursors needed to reconnect after the browser suspends the extension. Firebase tokens and authenticated progress URLs are not stored in extension storage or sent to product analytics.

3. Optional product analytics

With your permission, Glanceify uses PostHog to measure high-level product journeys such as starting an analysis, receiving a report, or reading a buying guide. Autocapture and session recording are disabled. We do not send the product URL you paste as an analytics property.

You can decline analytics without losing access to Glanceify. Your choice is shared across Glanceify web subdomains through a first-party preference cookie.

4. Service Providers and Sharing

Glanceify uses service providers only to operate the product, including Firebase for authentication, infrastructure providers for secure application and database hosting, research and AI providers for requested product analysis, Resend for enabled account alerts, and PostHog for optional consent-based product analytics. We do not sell personal data or share it for third-party advertising, lending, or creditworthiness decisions.

5. Storage and User Control

Account information and analysis records are retained as needed to provide report history, ownership, quotas, security, abuse prevention, and operational auditability. Deleting a report removes it from your normal history while limited audit records may be retained where needed for security, quota integrity, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. You can sign out at any time and can contact Glanceify through the Contact page for privacy or account requests.

6. Security and Changes

Glanceify uses encrypted transport, authenticated access controls, owner-scoped report access, and restricted backend credentials. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when the product or its providers change; material updates will be reflected on this page.
